Reading them

A known fund buying in size can signal conviction, but deals are also used for stake transfers and arbitrage. Look at who, how much, and whether it repeats.

From NSE’s public end-of-day data, collected each trading evening. Values in ₹ crore unless shown. A large trade or filing shows what happened, not why; it can be a hedge, a transfer or a portfolio change. Information, not investment advice.

Questions

What are bulk deals and block deals?
A bulk deal is when one client trades more than 0.5% of a company’s shares in a day; a block deal is a single trade of ₹10 crore or more in the block window. NSE publishes both with client names.
When is this list updated?
Every trading evening after NSE publishes the day’s bulk and block deal files.
Does a bulk buy mean the stock will rise?
No. It shows that a large investor bought; the reason could be investment, arbitrage or a stake transfer. Use it as one input.
